The Satria GTi was Proton′s entry into the performance hatchback market with a Lotus-engineered version of the previously launched Proton Compact. Powered by a 4 cylinder DOHC 1.8-litre engine and with suspension, ride and handling by Lotus, the GTi proved popular at the time and still enjoys something of a cult following in the UK today.
