Proton has introduced an enhanced Impian onto the current Proton range. This updated and refreshed 4 door saloon offers customers the following benefits:
Inside the Impian, the interior has been updated with new fabrics and a new steering wheel to enhance comfort, with GSX models having leather upholstery and leather trim as standard. All Impian models now have a radio/ CD player with RDS and steering wheel controls, and customers have the option to purchase a 6-CD changer for just £249. Safety remains a priority with all models having four airbags, ABS and traction control. A multi-function alarm, engine immobiliser and remote central locking remain as standard items.
On the exterior, a new range of metallic colours are now on offer: a dark Atlantic Blue, Star Silver, Sterling Silver, Deep Burgundy and Impian Red (solid). All Impian models come with 16" alloy wheels, and a tailgate spoiler is a no cost option on the 1.6 GSX.
The first Impian stood out in its class when it was launched in 2001. The influence of Proton's sister company, Lotus, in the ride and handling becomes evident when driving the Impian, and the new models retain this high standard. Fitted with MacPherson struts, the Impian also carries a rear multi-link suspension system, with additional front and rear stabiliser bars.
Despite the updates and extra features, the prices of Impian have not been touched. The full range is available at a starting price of just £10,995 for the Impian 1.6 GLS and £11,995 for the 1.6 GSX. (Price includes VAT, delivery charges, number plates, road fund licence and first registration fee.)
