Proton reveals the Savvy at The Forum Norwich

11 Aug 2005

Proton Cars (UK) Ltd will visit The Forum, Norwich as part of its Cars to the People tour, from 15th-21st August 2005. As sponsor of the Proton Cinema under the Stars, visitors to the evening film showings will be the first to see the new 5-door city car, the Savvy, up close and personal on its UK debut.

Visitors to the Proton stand, which will be situated outside The Forum between 9am and 6pm each day, will see Proton's new 30ft exhibition unit on its nationwide tour - a UK first for the Malaysian manufacturer. The Savvy and Proton's 5-door medium segment hatchback, the GEN-2, will be on static display, and a Lotus Elise sports car and MV Agusta superbike will complete the family of Proton brands.

Proton is quite literally taking their 'Cars To The People' and are giving visitors a chance to step inside, pop open the bonnet and boot and even take a test drive in the GEN-2, Impian and Jumbuck, giving visitors the chance to experience the vehicles first hand.

Visitors to the event can enter the free prize draw to win a brand new GEN-2 1.6 GSX with metallic paint (worth over £11,000) by simply registering their details on the Proton stand. The GEN-2 1.6 GSX has four airbags, remote central locking and engine immobiliser, ABS, climate control, leather seats, alloy wheels, a Blaupunkt radio/ CD player with a 10-CD changer and much more.

The Proton stand will also be stacked with free giveaway goodies for children and the young at heart.

Visitors will be able to visit the Proton stand from 15th-21st August and it will be open everyday from 9am until 6pm.

For those unable to come to the event, the full Proton range can be viewed and driven at one of Proton's three local dealers; Norwich Proton, who can be found in The Jarrold Stand at Norwich City Football Club, telephone 01603 629053; Coredale in Fakenham, Hempton Road in Fakenham, telephone 01328 864931 or Coredale Cromer, Middlebrook Way in Cromer, telephone 01293 515503.
