Frequently asked questions

How frequently should I get my car serviced?
You should get your Proton GEN-2, Impian or Satria Neo serviced at 9,000 miles or 12 month intervals, which ever occurs first. Proton Savvy models should be serviced at 12,000 miles or every 12 months.

Can any Proton retailer carry out servicing?

Can I go to a non-Proton retailer for routine servicing?
We strongly recommend you use the facilities offered by an authorised Proton dealer for any routine servicing work to be assured your vehicle is serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. We appreciate that there may be occasions where it is not convenient to visit a Proton dealer. On such occasions we would advise that as long as the servicing dealer is a VAT registered business, uses genuine Proton parts and endorses the service book, this would not normally have any detrimental effect on any remaining warranties. We would recommend that customers obtain and keep an invoice stating that genuine Proton parts have been used.

However, all warranty work must be carried out by an authorised Proton dealer .
